Steps Production
Ancora is one of the very few companies, nowadays just four, are producing their own nibs, all the other brands are buying from German producer. When you are using an Ancora pen you have in your hand the most refined Italian craftmanship.
Starting from a small piece of solid 18 Kt. gold 12x14 after several different lamination steps, the stripe of gold is getting to the required length.
Countless steps, including cutting, bending and welding the iridium point are just few to get to the finished nib.

Ancora is therefore glad to present you its new filling system, the soul of its product. With its 34 mm (1, 34 inch.),including the bottom, it is the smallest filling system in the world for a fountain pen which uses its barrel as tank. Besides being very easy to use - simply unscrew the bottom and press it repeatedly - its small dimension and exclusion (11 mm-0, 43 inc.) allow to fully exploit its tank capacity. In a normal piston filling pen, the piston in the loading position occupies half capacity of the pen. Ancora grants you a nearly doubled autonomy.
Technology, tradition, handmade models mixed together to offer you the best of our past history.
This section that you see is a scale reproduction of the filling system that Ancora ha devised for its two new models. Ancora adopted this system in the 40s and has now made it more practical and efficient. That was the stating idea of the founder of Ancora has now become a reality, thanks to a careful study of the liquid depression principle and to reliable materials.
